Concrete Lifting - Brockton, Massachusetts

Problem:
The concrete slab for this grocery store had settled over five inches. The concrete was severely damaged in some areas from the differential settlement. The settlement was most likely caused from poorly compacted fill soils underneath the sinking concrete slab.

Solution:
Northeast Helical LLC mobilized a pressure injection pump and grout plant to repair the concrete slab. The slab was reinforced in several areas to maintain a stable surface during the lifting process. Multiple access holes were drilled in the slab through which the slabjacking materials were pumped through. The underslab voids were initally filled, and then the grout was pumped under pressure raising the concrete slab up over four inches.

This project was successfully completed in three working days.
