Wall Repair
Carbon Fiber Replacement

Engineered Foundation Technologies utilizes carbon fiber technology to strengthen concrete structures, including basement walls, concrete beams, and concrete columns.  Carbon fiber has been used extensively in the aerospace industry for years.  Because of its light weight and superior strength, carbon fiber makes the perfect building component when durability and space restraints are of concern.

Engineered Foundation Technologies uses Stablwall to provide extra tensile reinforcement whenever required.  Stablwall carbon fiber sheets are as thin as a dime and are ten times stronger than steel.  For more information on Stablwall, please visit www.stablwall.com

Carbon fiber technology is suitable for the following applications:

Bowing Walls:  Carbon fiber sheets provide the necessary reinforcement to stabilize a shifting a retaining wall.  The carbon fiber permanently binds to the concrete with epoxy, preventing further movement.  The sheets are less then 1/8” thick and can be pained over after installation, minimizing any impact on living space.

Repairing Foundation Cracks:  In the past, a steel plate was installed over a foundation crack to provide a structural connection.  Today carbon fiber sheets are used to bind fragmented foundations together.

Strengthening Concrete Members:   Existing concrete structures sometimes need extra tensile reinforcement to meet today’s codes.  In come cases, earthquake reinforcement is required to meet code.
